Möhnesee lake park

The steps leading down to the shore, a public swimming area, and the spacious sunbathing and relaxation areas invite visitors to linger by the water. If you’d like to take a short walk or are out on a bike ride, you can use the separate bike and walking paths.

The well-developed skate park and the large playground are available for free use at any time. On site, you’ll also find a family terrace with a toddler play area and a multipurpose field. Additional areas offer opportunities for ball games and other sports.

During the peak season (April through October), the mini-golf and adventure golf courses are also open.

In the Seepark and its immediate surroundings, various restaurants offer great options to treat you and your family to culinary delights.

A large parking lot is available, which also serves as a good starting point for bike rides and hikes. A walk across the pedestrian bridge takes you to the south side of Lake Möhnesee. This is where the Arnsberger Wald Nature Park begins.


Accessibility Information

• Two parking spaces for people with disabilities are available.
  
• The paths are paved throughout.
  
• The upper level, with the restaurant and ice cream parlor, is accessible via a paved, step-free path with a gentle slope.
  
• The middle section of the lake steps is also accessible via a paved, step-free path with a gentle slope.
  
• The transition from the middle to the lowest level is via two sets of stairs with 15 and 6 steps, respectively. Alternatively, there is a step-free path that passes by the Pfeffermühle Restaurant or the SeeAlm Restaurant.
  
• The lakeside promenade is paved throughout and is easily accessible on foot and by vehicle.
  
• The volleyball court is accessible via a step-free path.
  
• A tactile guidance system is in place, though it is defective in the upper section of the lake park.
